Submissions

Arator is published annually in the summer by the Abbeville Institute, P. O. Box 10, McClellanville, SC 29458.

The editor will publish articles on all relevant topics but will welcome especially submissions that are written from within the Southern tradition itself and that can be appreciated and enjoyed by scholars of all fields of Southern scholarship. Review essays are also welcome. The editor also seeks to attract a wide readership from vocations outside the academy: artists, the clergy, lawyers, and statesmen among them. Submissions that are laden with academic jargon and ideology will not be considered. Submissions should be no longer than 4,000 words and citations should conform to The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition. Arator intends in every way to continue the South’s allegiance to humane letters as well as its vigilance for sound composition and expression.

All submissions and enquiries should be addressed to John F. Devanny Jr. at jdevanny@sjcatholicschool.org.
